In Ross Jahnke's woodcut prints, one could get lost in the sheer genius of utilizing the woodgrain of his medium as a tool to invigorate and delineate the spaces he illustrates. Images in bright block colors are given an unexpected sense of movement and proximity not always found in printmaking works. Jahnke's work will be on display at the Baton Rouge Gallery throughout the month of August.
