Little seeds tell big tales at the ninth annual Northeast Louisiana Master Gardeners Association seminar today. Keynote speaker John Coykendall, famous for his seed saving and his role as master gardener at Blackberry Farm, will share his expertise on hunting down heirloom seeds and repopulating nearly extinct species. Also on the program, retired AgCenter horticulturist Allen Owings will speak on ornamentals one can easily grow at home and Mississippi nursery owner Larry Stephenson will share his passion for Deep South apple varieties. 7:30 am–1:30 pm at the West Monroe Convention Center.
