The Seignouret-Brulatour House: A New Chapter
to
The Historic New Orleans Collection 533 Royal Street, New Orleans, Louisiana 70130
When New Orleans celebrates its three hundredth anniversary in 2018, The Historic New Orleans Collection will open its largest addition in the institution’s fifty-year history—the Seignouret-Brulatour House at 520 Royal Street. In anticipation of this occasion, THNOC presents the small-scale exhibition The Seignouret-Brulatour House: A New Chapter, now on view at 533 Royal Street. The building’s storied past includes a furniture dealer, a wine merchant, a preservationist and tobacco executive, bohemian artists, and even Dick Van Dyke. The display features a glimpse into its two hundred-year history, a model of the forthcoming facility, and a timeline that charts the progress of its renovation. Admission to the exhibition, on view through January of 2018, is free, and it is open Tuesday–Saturday, 9:30 am–4:30 pm, and Sunday, 10:30 am–4:30 pm.
