Shake Your Trail Feather Paddle Parade

The TECHE Project is excited to host the eleventh-annual Shake Your Trail Feather Festival to celebrate the Bayou Teche Paddle Trail. The day will include a Paddle Parade down Bayou Teche, as well as a Party in the Parc with live musical entertainment and food. There will be an opportunity for more leisurely paddlers to head for land at Parc des Pont in Breaux Bridge after 4.5 miles—as there are no motorized boats allowed in the fun, feather-filled Paddle Parade; which is accompanied by live music by Cajun bands playing from two decorated barges. Folks living along the Bayou are invited to join the revelry from the banks. After the parade, the celebration continues with a party in Parc des Ponts featuring food vendors, drinks, merchandise, fun for kids, and more; starting at 11:30 am.
