Keith Douglas
In a fiery exhibit of gritty sarcasm and wit, Baton Rouge artist and educator Keith "Cartoonman" Douglas's work, called Sheep State, will be on display at Kelwood Contemporary Art this month—set to coincide with the Louisiana Legislature Session.
The interactive exhibit of political cartoons and sculptures explore the political climate of our state, our country, and our world with tongue in cheek humor. Although he is poking fun, Douglas says he hopes to encourage people through his work, to be more alert to their roles in the political chess game. An opening reception will be held on Saturday, April 27 from 5 pm–8 pm, and a gallery talk with Douglas will be held on Sunday, May 19 from 2 pm–4 pm. jennifercarwilepaintings.com.
