Sip into Spring: Mead and Berry Wine Workshop

Over the course of four days in the coming months, the West Baton Rouge Museum is offering a special introduction into the art of fermentation, showing participants the secrets of creating craft mead and berry wine using local, seasonal ingredients. The workshop will be led by West Baton Rouge artist (featured in the exhibition, Artists of West Baton Rouge) and cookbook author Mary Guarisco. Classes will include special guest speakers including bee keepers and berry farmers and lessons on straining, pouring, and bottling. The course will conclude with a spring picnic featuring homemade breads, cheeses, and the fruits of all students' efforts.
