Snakes of Louisiana

Here's your long-awaited chance to meet a snake up close—and perhaps even more interestingly—a snake collector. Fred Mattingly will present a lecture on the coolest of Louisiana's native snake species, sharing a few of his favorites with the group. The lecture will be followed by a hike around the Northlake Nature Center, searching out the ten snake information posts donated to the center by Eagle Scout candidate Bradley Bouton.10 am.  $5; free for members.
