Southern Atchafalaya Eagle Paddle

Calling all adventurers! Pack & Paddle Outfitters will lead an early spring paddle north of Morgan City, on a quest to spot some of the Southern Bald Eagles in this area. The combination of shallow lakes for fishing, tall trees for nesting and a confluence of moving waters make this ideal habitat to spot these majestic birds. The trip will launch at Doiron's landing north of Morgan City and head across the borrow pit that borders the eastern levee that contains the Atchafalaya Basin. Then out into the northwestern end of Flat Lake looking for eagles. Lunch will be provided. Be sure to bring your binoculars!
