Spanish Town Walking Tour
Capitol Park Museum 660 North 4th Street, Baton Rouge, Louisiana 70802
The oldest, most eclectic, (and most eccentric) neighborhood in Baton Rouge, Spanish Town is nestled in the shadow of the State Capitol. With surviving structures dating back to 1823 and in such close proximity to the halls of state power, we can imagine those walls must have some stories to tell. Imagine no longer. A few juicy tidbits of historical trivia will be revealed during this walking tour of the neighborhood offered periodically by the Capitol Park Museum. The free tour begins at 9:30 am and lasts approximately ninety minutes. Tours depart from the museum lobby, 660 North Fourth Street. $10; free for members. Space is limited so make reservations quickly via Eventbrite. (225) 342-5428.
