St. Landry BBQ Fest

St. Landry is upping the stakes for weekend BBQ, bringing in carnival rides, live music, shopping vendors, a rock-climbing wall, a mechanical bull, and a massive BBQ Cook-Off. It all gets started on Friday with live music by Kevin Naquin, Mike Broussard, and the Chee Weez; followed by an exciting slate of local musicians all weekend long, including Leon Chavis and Lil Nate, Rosie Ledet and Keith Frank. 

The Cook-Off will feature categories of every sort of pit-friendly meal you can imagine, from beef and seafood to wild game and dessert. All the while, little ones will stay entertained at the petting zoo. At the Yambilee Building in Opelousas. stlandrybbqfestival.com.
