St. Landry BBQ Fest

St. Landry is upping the stakes for weekend BBQ, bringing in carnival rides, live music, shopping vendors, a rock-climbing wall, a mechanical bull, and a massive BBQ Cook-Off. It all gets started on Friday with live music by the Chee Weez; followed by an exciting slate of local musicians all weekend long, including Keith Frank and Roi "Chip" Anthony. 

The Cook-Off on Sunday will feature categories of every sort of pit-friendly meal you can imagine, from beef and seafood to wild game and dessert. At the Yambilee Building in Opelousas. stlandrybbqfestival.com.
