Sugarman Triathlon
Sugarman Race Site 100 Waterview Rd, City of Youngsville, Louisiana 70592
The time to put your body to the test has arrived: The annual Sugarman Triathalon and Duathalon. The triathlon is an all-road sprint with a 500-meter swim in Sugarmill Pond, a fifteen-mile bike on country roads, and a just-over-three-mile run through the Sugarmill Pond Development. The duathlon includes a just-under-three-mile run in the Sugarmill Pond neighborhood, a fifteen-mile bike, then a just-over-three-mile run. For the rest of us who have spent our year on less-healthy hobbies like snacking and binging Netflix, the race is exciting and fun from the spectator perspective, as well! A centralized transition area provides a birds-eye view of the final half-mile stretch around the lake to the finish line. All top finishers will receive unique prizes, and all participants will be treated to a post-race meal provided by Romacelli’s and Cafe 20.3 on the bayou. Proceeds from this event will go toward supporting LA Trail projects. 7 am start. For more information on when and where athletes can pick up a registration packet, visit latrail.org/sugarman-triathlon.
