Sulphur Mines Festival
Brimstone Museum 900 South Huntington Street, Sulphur, Louisiana 70663
Once known as The Richest 50 Acres in the World, the discovery of sulfur put present-day Sulphur on the map in the late 1800s. Experience Sulphur's ongoing heritage at the Sulphur Mines Festival. Be sure to visit the Merchants' Grove, where vendors with arts, crafts, and more will be on hand to display and sell their wares. For a historical experience, local and regional historians will be holding lectures, presentations, and demonstrations throughout the festival.
