"Tall Order: The Louisiana State Capitol" LPB Documentary Premiere

We Louisianans are all familiar with the image of the towering State Capitol on Baton Rouge's horizon. Now, a new Louisiana Public Broadcasting documentary will delve into the history of the storied and iconic structure, from Huey P. Long's mission to build the tallest capitol building in the United States (edging out Nebraska), to the impressive blueprints and relief art by "Doyenne of Louisiana Sculpture" Angela Gregory. Country Roads Contributor and independent curator Elizabeth Chubbuck Weinstein was consulted for the script. Premieres on December 4 at 7 pm on LPB, with an encore screening on December 7 at 8 pm. lpb.org.
