Teen Touchdown Challenge

Literature and history meet science and creativity at the Eden Park Branch Library's "Touchdown for Teens" event April 23. Bringing together the  "One Book, One Community" selection of Margot Lee Shetterly's Hidden Figures and its STEAM (science, engineering, art, and math-related) program, the library is challenging teens to engage in the problem of safe landing. Using a series of limited materials, they will be charged with the duty of creating a device to bring their astronauts (or rather, marshmallows) safely back to earth. 3:30 pm.
