In celebration of the twentieth anniversary of the Irene W. Pennington Planetarium, the Louisiana Art and Science Museum presents The Art of Looking Up, a new exhibition showcasing impressive artworks from LASM’s private collection, LSU Museum of Art, and Hilliard Art Museum, including pieces by Salvador Dalí. Humans have been mesmerized by the night sky from the dawn of civilization to the invention of the James Webb Space Telescope, and this exhibit explores our long history of searching the stars to understand the universe.
