The Cerny Brothers
Hub Music Hall 201 Washington St., Monroe, Louisiana 71201
One part folk, one part rock, and all Americana, The Cerny Brothers move with the spirit of John Mellencamp, Bruce Springsteen, and Tom Petty. Their latest record, Looking for the Good Land, was released on Cleveland International Records, the company behind Meatloaf’s classic Bat Out of Hell. (The Cerny Brothers were the first group to be signed upon the record label’s relaunch earlier this year.) The record pulls on the brothers' national travels and is an effort to find common ground amongst Americans in an age where that isn't easy.
Tonight at Hub Music Hall, The Cerny Brothers are performing as the special guests of 20-year-old blues prodigy Christone “Kingfish” Ingram, making this a celebration of roots music that’s not to be missed. 7 pm. $20; $40 VIP. thehubmonroe.com.
