The wit and whimsy of Oscar Wilde comes to the Gladys Hague Runnels Theater this weekend, where the Runnels High School Drama Department will present The Importance of Being Earnest. First performed in 1895 at the St. James Theatre in London, the play still delights audiences with a zany tale of mistaken identities, mismatched lovers, tangled deceptions, and curious misadventures. 7 pm Friday & Saturday; 2 pm Sunday. $10 for adults; $8 for students. Tickets available starting February 1 at runnels.org.
