Pippin Frisbie-Calder
"Prothonotary Warbler Shadowbox," hand pulled wood cut print in shadow box on hand-pulled wallpaper
Printmaker, and new Lemieux Galleries artist Pippin Frisbie-Calder presents The Rookery, a poignant and whimsical reminder that, even in the Anthropocene, nature continues on despite us. The exhibition focuses on the bird species that migrate to Central and/or South American during the winter through the Gulf Coast, returning each spring to breed upon our North American continent as far north as Canada—connecting us, despite our unawares, to a larger global community all the while. The Rookery is on display from October 5–November 16. lemieuxgalleries.com.
