The Threepenny Opera

Grab a seat at the Shaver Theater for this brilliant parody of eighteenth-century opera. Die Dreigroschenoper (The Threepenny Opera) is a celebration of the unique collaboration of Brecht's political satire—as sharp as Mack the Knife's blade—combined with Weill's edgy 1920s jazz harmonies and cabaret orchestration. 3 pm. $22. cmda.lsu.edu.
