The Uninvited

On a New Orleans night in December 1874, a mob of young men passed by the Gallier House in the French Quarter, seeking to re-segregate the integrated school next door. In a new immersive theatre production by Goat in the Road Productions, this night—and its repercussions—are recreated in a story that exposes the race and class divisions present in the household of this 19th century New Orleans family, issues still part of contemporary conversations today. 

During the show, audience members will be encouraged to explore the historic property of the Gallier Historic House, following the characters and storylines as they choose. Performances will be held Thursdays–Saturdays from January 9–February 1 and on Wednesdays–Fridays from February 5–February 14, with two shows per night at 6 pm and 8 pm. $35. hgghh.org.
