Now in its 34th year, the Christ Episcopal Church in Covington's annual Third Sunday Concert Series brings some of the region's greatest talents into the historic church for free community concerts each year, held on the third Sunday of each month. This year's season is as follows:
September 15: New Orleans drummer Herlin Riley
October 20: Vocal Quartet Quatre Voix
November 17: Bluegrass band Gravel Storm
December 15: Seasonal selections by Louisiana Brass
January 19: Shades of Praise gospel choir
February 16: Classical selections by Loyola Winds
May 18: New Orleans clarinetist Tim Laughlin
Concerts are all followed by a wine and hors d'oeuvres reception in Holzhalb Hall for audience and performers. Doors open at 4:30 pm; music at 5 pm. (985) 892-3177. christchurchcovington.com.
