Third Sunday: Loyola Opera Workshop

At this month's Third Sunday concert at Christ Episcopal Church, students from the Loyola Opera Workshop, along with workshop director and pianist Carol Rausch, will offer selections from their upcoming 2020 productions of Little Women and Dido and Aeneas, as well as favorite arias and ensembles from the standard operatic repertoire.

The workshop, established in 1954, is part of the Loyola School of Music, which is this year is celebrating its centennial anniversary. It also enjoys a long-standing relationship with the New Orleans Opera Association (NOOA).

5 pm; doors open at 4:30 pm. Free and open to the public. As always, the performance will be followed by a wine and hors d’oeuvres reception in the Christ Church Parish Hall for the performers and audience. (985) 892-3177 or christchurchcovington.com/concert_series.
