Thirsty Thursday: Storyville
Capitol Park Museum 660 North 4th Street, Baton Rouge, Louisiana 70802
Saunter over to the Capitol Park Museum this evening for a brief talk about the infamous Storyville in New Orleans. Following the flooding from Hurricane Katrina, the redevelopment of the Iberville Public Housing Project gave archaeologists a unique opportunity to study the city lots where the red-light district once reigned. Learn of their surprising finds, and enjoy specialty drinks and small plates from the Pelican House. 6 pm. Free for Friends of the Capitol Park Museum; $10 general admission. (225) 342-5428 or capitolparkmuseum@crt.la.gov.
