This is Modern Art

As an exploration into the art and artists that served as influences to those represented in the Alexandria Museum of Art's permanent collection, the museum is hosting a screening of Matthew Collings' This is Modern Art part two.  The six-part TV series, originally broadcast in 1999, won several awards including a British Academy of Film and Television Arts award. The film offers tongue-in-cheek, yet thought-provoking, insights into the modern art movement, which at the time of its broadcast had recently been widely-publicized in British mass media. 5:30 pm.
