The Port Hudson State Historic Site invites you to attend  "Thy Soldier Brave is Sleeping," a historical demonstration covering the various ways both Union and Confederate soldiers were laid to rest, from organized formal burials to very quick interments on battlefields.  11 am, 1 pm, and 3 pm.  $4 per person; 3 and younger and 62 and older free.  (225) 654-3775.  lastateparks.com.
