Watch skilled artisans from the Baton Rouge Woodworkers Club use traditional woodworking hand tools, including hand planes, saws, brace and bit, mallet, chisels, etc. and learn how these were used to make furniture. Included in the demonstration will be the use of a foot powered lathe, used to turn wood into cylindrical shapes. Workbenches will also be used to demonstrate different work holding methods. 10 am–2 pm at the Capitol Park Museum. Free and open to public. Suitable for all ages. (225) 342-5428.
