Weekend War Games
National World War II Museum 945 Magazine Street, New Orleans, Louisiana 70130
In 1941, before the US was in World War Two but when our involvement seemed inevitable, the government performed the Louisiana Maneuvers, a series of war games held mostly in Louisiana (a little bit overflowed into Texas) designed to test the United States strategic and operational readiness. The lessons learned meant that the United States didn't start completely from scratch once it entered the war, allowing us to successfully defend our title as World War Champion. (Please, no rematches.) Join modern war gamers in a simulation of the Louisiana Maneuvers and see if you would make have the same decisions. 10 am - 2 pm. 945 Magazine St. 504-528-1944 x 333 or nationalww2museum.org.
