Baton Rouge Zoo to Celebrate 50th Anniversary with 50-Cent Admission

When the Baton Rouge Zoo opened its doors on Easter Sunday in 1970, admission was 50 cents per person. So this June, BREC’s Baton Rouge Zoo continues to celebrate its fiftieth anniversary with the community by offering a discounted admission rate every Wednesday between the hours of 2 pm–4 pm, when guests can enjoy 50 cent (plus tax) admission for all ages. For more info and a full list of safety modifications at the Zoo in light of COVID-19, visit brzoo.org.
