Jeanne Frois


Born in New Orleans, Jeanne writes the "Around Louisiana" section for Louisiana Life magazine. She is a contributing writer to The New Orleans Times-Picayune, Southern Living magazine, Angels on Earth magazine, New Orleans magazine, Old House Journal, Gambit Weekly and Country Roads.

Jeanne is author of two Louisiana history books: Louisianians All, a collection of biographies of people from the state from all ethnic origins and religious backgrounds who carved a positive impact on Louisiana; Flags of Louisiana, covering the history behind, and symbolism of, the ten flags that have flown over the state. She co-edited and compiled three editions of the Louisiana Almanac, a compendium of facts pertaining to the state that includes history, demographics, weather, education, health and hospitals, superlatives and astronomical data, to name a few.
