The return of the annual Spring Art Walk kicks off summer in downtown Lake Charles with pop-up galleries and an outdoor art market on April 30.
At the corner of Broad and Ryan Street, several blocks will be shut down for live art demonstrations and competitions, live music and street performers, and art and food vendors. Seventeen downtown businesses will transform into pop-up galleries. The block party-style evening will showcase a wide variety of locally-crafted works, including prints, jewelry, ceramics, textiles, and more.
“This event has exposed our community to so much incredible talent over the past ten years,” said Devan Corbello, Executive Director of the SWLA Arts & Humanities Council. “This year’s Art Walk is just another way to show that Lake Charles is back and better than ever!” visitlakecharles.org.
