Shop til You Drop at the Junior League of Monroe’s 25th annual Spring Market
Come take part in a northeast Louisiana rite of spring when the Junior League of Monroe presents its 25th annual Spring Market, March 17—19 at the Monroe Civic Center, 401 Lee Joyner Memorial Expressway, in Monroe. Merchants from around the country flock to the Ouachita Parish seat, filling the Monroe Civic Center with jewelry, clothing, home décor, gourmet foods, and lots more. Making its silver anniversary extra special, Spring Market weekend will also host several related events this weekend. Here’s what you need to know.
March 17: Attend the first ever Sip and Shop from 11 am to 5 pm to sip champagne and get early access to the market. Stick around for Girls’ Night Out from 6 pm–9 pm to enjoy food, drinks, and live music, too.
March 18: You’re invited to celebrate at a special 25th Anniversary Spring Market Brunch from 9 am–11 am. Attendees will enjoy brunch and mimosas, and early shopping access. General admission shopping for the Spring Market is between 10 am and 5 pm.
March 19: Bring the kids to meet the Easter Bunny and participate in the Market’s Lady on the Go raffle! General admission shopping takes place from noon–5 pm.

Salute America’s Heroes at the Red, White, & Blue AirShow
Things will be looking up when the Red, White, and Blue AirShow returns to the skies of northeast Louisiana! Voted "Best New Event" in Louisiana, the airshow is back for its second year, offering three days of family fun. Come out to the Monroe Regional Airport on May 5 & 6 at 4 pm for twilight shows. There’ll also be a day show on May 7 beginning at 11 am.
Performers will include the U.S. Air Force’s A10 Demonstration Team based out of the Davis-Montham Air Force Base, the Aeroshell Aerobatic Team flying their North American AT6 Texans, Pilot Nathan K. Hammond performing his renowned “Ghostwriter” airshow, Randy Ball flying a vintage 1950s MIG-17 fighter jet; and more aerobatic antics from the likes of Charlotte’s Chariot, the Re/Max Parachute Team, and airborne comedy routines by Greg Koontz and The Alabama Boys.
Don’t forget your chair, sunscreen, and sunglasses; you might want to pack a pair of binoculars to get a closer look at the magnificent machines on the ground and overhead. Food vendors will be on site each day. No pets (unless being used for physically impaired individuals), alcohol, bicycles, scooters, skateboards, drones or other flyable devices, or weapons are allowed in the main event grounds.

Riverfest
Experience Ouachita RiverFest—West Monroe’s New Premier Annual Festival
To celebrate the 140th birthday of the City of West Monroe, a huge new festival is coming to the downtown area on Trenton St. on May 13! Ouachita Riverfest is a brand-new event put on by the City of West Monroe and the Downtown West Monroe Revitalization Group, a nonprofit organization dedicated to the development and enhancement of downtown West Monroe. The event celebrates the area’s greatest natural asset- the Ouachita River. Proceeds from this event will go to the Downtown Riverfront Marina Project, an initiative to give the public greater access to the river. This project includes a complimentary boat slip, a public fishing piece, and an amphitheater.
The Ouachita RiverFest is a celebration bursting with local and regional musicians, delicious food trucks, artisan vendors, and family fun! Attendees can participate in the Ouachita RiverFest Big Bass Classic, play in the kids’ area, and enjoy a rubber duck drop in which 5,000 ducks will be dropped into the Ouachita River for a race to the finish line.
