The holidays are all about celebrating with food and family. Tupelo’s more than 200 restaurants definitely have you covered, with delicious dishes on offer all over the city that are perfect for celebrating the holiday season.

Tupelo’s chefs have been hailed throughout the southeast on account of the unique culinary creations emerging from kitchens all over town. At Forklift Restaurant in Tupelo’s Jackson West neighborhood, Chef Cooper Miller serves elevated Southern dishes built on a foundation of top-quality, locally sourced produce. An extensive menu of handcrafted cocktails complements the unique gastronomic experience here. One of the city’s newest restaurants, Ethel Mae’s is serving exciting neo-soul food in an atmosphere that’ll make you feel like family. Live music on the weekends, craft cocktails, and Chef Reginald Scott’s cuisine make this a must-taste spot in Tupelo. Park Heights Restaurant offers a menu of modern American delicacies created by Chef Tom Lester. The creative craft cocktails served in Park Heights’ blue bar are some of the best in town.

Tupelo’s unique restaurants offer exceptional meals for celebrating the season. Downunder is famous for its international-style pub grub, and delicious craft cocktails served from their downtown Tupelo locale. Jo’s Café specializes in scrumptious homemade dishes, served both from their food truck, and brick-and-mortar establishment in the heart of the city. Sweet Tea & Biscuits Café is located inside the Marketplace at Sweet Tea & Biscuits, offering shopping and great food options. While the tea is sweet and biscuits are fluffy, it’s the mile-high meringue atop the decadent desserts served here, that keeps customers coming back. The Grillehouse in Downtown Tupelo serves chargrilled steaks, fresh fish, and a dizzying selection of craft cocktails. Perfect for holiday merriment!

Speaking of craft cocktails, the Tupelo Cocktail Trail invites guests to visit eight Downtown Tupelo locations to try delicious, local artisan cocktails. Pick up your cocktail card at the Tupelo Visitors Center or at any participating restaurant. Once you’ve completed all eight stops on the Cocktail Trail, redeem your card at the Tupelo Visitors Center and receive a free #MyTupelo cocktail shaker.

Visitors in search of a one-of-a-kind culinary experience should plan a trip to Queen’s Reward Meadery. Mississippi’s first and only meadery, Queen’s Reward makes award-winning, small-batch mead, served with a twist of Southern hospitality. With multiple varieties to taste, plan to visit the meadery’s West Tupelo tasting room. A bottle of your favorite mead makes a perfect holiday hostess gift, too.
