On June 26, the 2016 Small Town Chefs Awards celebrated four outstanding chefs from all over Louisiana.
Our fifth annual Small Town Chefs Awards is in works for June 28, 2018, again at the Louisiana Culinary Institute where we'll celebrate chefs doing wondrous work in towns under twenty-five thousand—with a dinner right here in Baton Rouge! In the meantime, take a look at last year's dinner in the gallery below. On August 20, 2017, Chef Hardette Harris of Pure Louisiana Soul in the Shreveport/Bossier area, Chef Jeffrey Hansell of Oxlot 9 and Smoke BBQ in Covington, and Chef Dustie Latiolais of Cochon Cannery in Breaux Bridge treated us all to a four-course feast—with dessert from the inimitable chefs at the Louisiana Culinary Institute. We hope you'll join us again this year—we'll announce our 2018 chefs on May 1.
