Acadiana Renaissance Fête

In between Opelousas and Lawtell, time shifts, taking visitors straight back to the 1400s—during January and February at least. In the "Village of Glane," the Acadiana Renaissance Festival encourages imagination and wonder, taking on a different theme each weekend—arising the Pirates, the Vikings, and the Enchanted Feywild alike. Visitors can enjoy unique performances, homemade artifacts and jewelry, and plenty of excuses for whimsical play. 10 am–5 pm. $10  per day. larenfete.com.
