On Friday at 8:30 pm and Saturday at 5:30 pm on Art Rocks!, (episode #621), hosts will visit the small town of Zachary, which boasts a high school drama program that stages spectacular productions of classics like A Few Good Men, To Kill a Mockingbird, The Wizard of Oz, and Guys and Dolls. The students and teachers will share the story behind their success. Next, westward to to Nevada to meet metalsmith Jim Moffitt, known for sculpting metal orbs into the most unique fire pits you’ve ever seen. Plus, learn about the influential pottery created by the women of Newcomb Memorial College beginning at the turn of the last century. Our Louisiana Treasure is a visit to the campus of Tulane University in New Orleans to see its expansive collection of Newcomb pottery.
