At Baton Rouge Ballet, A Curtain Call

Baton Rouge Ballet Theatre has been synonymous with the names of Molly Buchmann and Sharon Mathews for a long time. During forty-eight years these ground-breaking leaders have built the company to become one of Louisiana's most visible, professional, and highly regarded performing arts organizations. Along the way they have launched the careers of dozens of professional dancers, and ignited the passion for classical dance in the lives of many thousands more. Now, as Buchmann and Mathews hang up their pointe shoes for the last time, BRBT invites all dance lovers to join a curtain call celebration at LSU's Lod Cook Alumni Center for food, drinks, live entertainment … and dancing, of course. 7 pm–11 pm at 3838 West Lakeshore Drive. $100 tickets. batonrougeballet.org.
