Bayous and Canals of the Manchac Swamp

Join the North Lake Nature Center for a bird watching expedition along the bayous and canals of the Manchac. It's the middle of fall bird migration, so bring your binoculars and cameras along for front row seat—via pontoon boat—at their magnificent flight. The leisurely ride will include stops at the historic site of the Turtle Cove Environmental Research Station, into the "Stinking Bayou," and ends with a sunset view on the upper deck of the Galva classrooms with a glass of wine and cheese pairings. $50; $45 for members.
