Cooking in Central

Cooking in Central is back, this time in partnership with the City of Central to bring plenty of tasty food and entertainment to Amazing Place. The fun begins a 5 pm Friday with seafood and hamburger plates, a performance by the Central High Jazz Band, and a live auction beginning at 6:30 pm, followed by a musical performance by Rouge Krewe at 7:30 pm. On Saturday, festival gates open at noon with kids' entertainment, then music by Chris LeBlanc beginning at 3:30 pm. Judging for the cook-off starts at 4 pm, and attendees can enjoy the delicious outcome with plates of jambalaya, pork roast, barbecue ribs, and barbecue chicken going on sale at 5 pm. Entertainment continues into Saturday night with the Chee Weez at 7:30 pm, with children's activities, auctions, and other fun throughout the weekend. Free.
