At Rosedown Plantation SHS, staff will present "Enslaved Life at Rosedown," an overview of the history of African-American enslavement, specifically in Louisiana, followed by a more detailed look into enslaved life at Rosedown. Difficult history, indeed, but a necessary component of understanding American history. Discussed during the program will be the layout of the plantation, including outbuildings, home sites, work areas, and fields. 10 am, noon, and 2 pm. lastateparks.com.
