Mandeville's 30 by Ninety Theatre presents the story of one of the greatest courtroom dramas of twentieth century America. Based on the 1925 Scopes Monkey Trial, this production follows the substitute high school teacher John T. Scopes as the drama of his decision to teach human evolution, violating a law prohibiting it, unfolds. Providing a vehicle for exploring the conflicts of fundamentalism and freedom of speech, this play delves into universal concepts that have remained strikingly relevant over the course of time. Directed by Adolfo Rodriguez, Inherit the Wind will be performed at 8 pm on Friday and Saturday, and 2:30 pm on Sunday.
