In the heart of New Orleans' Central Business District, The Helis Foundation has unveiled its latest gift to the community: a 6,000-square-foot arts center, which houses cutting-edge interactive exhibits, community programs, and experiences; all inspired by the center's namesake, the New Orleans artist, educator, and humanist John T. Scott. Celebrate the brand new space, which is housed in the Louisiana Endowment for the Humanities' historic Turners' Hall, at this grand opening celebration. Free. 10 am–3 pm. leh.org.
