Auditions for Lafayette Ballet Theatre's "The Nutcracker"

An Acadiana tradition sets the stage again with the full-length, classical ballet, The Nutcracker, performed by the Lafayette Ballet Theatre—and dancers over the age of eight who have completed at least one year of ballet lessons and are currently enrolled in a dance program are invited to audition to participate in the magic. Here is when they can audition:

Saturday, September 10: Age fifteen to professional. All pointe variations welcome, including Chinese and Spanish.

Sunday, September 11: Age eight through fourteen (no pointe work). 

$35 audition fee required for participants ages eight through eighteen at the time of audition. (No audition fee for dancers over nineteen.) Checks payable to LBT or cash at audition accepted. $36 if purchased online, and credit card payments are accepted on the LBT website only. Performances will take place December 10 at 7 pm and December 11 at 2 pm. For further details or to pre-register for the audition, visit lafayetteballettheatre.org.
