Landscape with Figures

The acclaimed writer, director, and producer Andrew Ondrejcak brings collaborative surrealism to the Contemporary Arts Center—working with twenty New Orleans performers and artisans to present Landscape with Figures. Inspired by the paintings of Pieter Bruegel, the performance explores the interconnectivity of the lives of the unrelated by blurring lines between theater, dance, installation art, painting, and literature. From above, audiences will experience interconnected overlapping narratives, written by unrelated writers and interpreted by unrelated groups of directors, choreographers, and performers, in artisan-made costumes from around the world.
