Get back to nature this fall with a little help from the green thumbs at All You Need (formerly Southbound Gardens). The grassroots education and community center focuses on providing tools and knowledge regrading sustainable living and holistic health. March offerings include:
- March 8, Edible Gardening: Embarking on a spring garden? This tutorial on proper irrigation, what to plant (seeds vs starter plants), and bed prep will help. Located at All You Need, 3700 Toledano Street. 3 pm–4:30 pm. $20.
- March 15, Composting Basics: Composting—the set-it-and-forget-it of gardening gold—will be taught today. Learn how to compost tea and worms as well as troubleshoot an existing pile. Located at Laughing Buddha Nursery, 4516 Clearview Parkway. 3 pm–4:30 pm. $20.
- March 16, Creating Edible Ecosystems: Feed yourself and nurture plants, animals, and soil too. Located at The Green Project. 2831 Marais. Noon–1:30 pm. $20. 25% discount for members of the Green Project.
