The Marjorie Morrison Sculpture Biennial honors Marjorie Morrison, wife of former U.S. Senator Jim Morrison and longtime advocate of the arts in Louisiana. Morrison was a key player among the original members of the Hammond Regional Arts Center and helped get the organization off the ground thirty years ago. This seventh installation of the Marjorie Morrison Sculpture Biennial is curated by local artists Pat Macaluso and Denise Tullier-Holly. The exhibition will open with a reception at the arts center at 217 East Thomas Street on January 24 from 5 pm–8 pm. hammondarts.org.
