Decadence, daring, talent, and titillation abound in Le Petit Theatre's new cabaret production, Marquee, presented by Vinsantos and LadyBEAST. Burlesque, circus, and drag come together in New Orleans' most historic playhouse, celebrating the city's vibrant cabaret culture—alive and well since the late 1800s. Paying homage to legends such as Julian Eltinge, Josephine Baker, Nita and Zita, and Lilly Christine "The Cat Girl," Marquee tells its enchanting and astounding version of history ranging from the 1890s to the 1950s.
Performances are scheduled for April 26–28, May 3–5, and June 6–9 at 9 pm. $25–$35; $45 VIP includes premium seating, an exclusive meet-and-greet, and a signed Marquee poster, and can only be purchased through the box office at (504) 522-2081. Regular tickets can be purchased at lepetittheatre.com.
