Opéra Louisiane's Christmas and Carols
In the grand sanctuary of Baton Rouge's First Baptist Church, the magic of Christmas will fill the room, as well as the hearts, of guests to Opéra Louisiane's Christmas and Carols musical celebration. The show will begin with a one-hour opera, telling the story of a young shepherd boy and his mother who are visited by the three Magi on their way to the Christ child. Immediately following, choir members from across the capitol city will present favorites of the season, accompanied by organ and piano. Refreshments of Christmas cookies and warm cider will be served, and audience members will have the opportunity to meet and greet the cast afterwards. 7:30–9:30 pm. $23; $11 for children; $29 for VIP at bontempstix.com.
