In Richard Landry's mesmerizing and disconcerting video installation, Quad Suite (1973), currently on display at the Hilliard University Art Museum, the musician and composer pushes the boundaries of music, picking and playing with the effects of physical spaces and electronic delays. Through the meditative repetition of his composition, he reveals the entrancing relationships between sound and image.
Landry, known primarily for his photography and his work as a member of Lil Band O' Gold, is highlighted in this exhibition for his dynamic talent as a video artist as well.
