In the tradition of Chicago's Second City comedy improv troupe, ULL's Silverbacks Improv Theatre group delivers the same by-the-seat-of-their-pants sketch comedy performances where actors take suggestions from audience members, improvising lines and characters on the fly. Since 2012, the group has diligently grown the improv community by hosting classes, shows, brunches, and more. Now, they are embarking on a new venture: A monthly improv showcase called SuperCollider! Late Night Edition, to be held at Cite Des Arts. For each show, the Silverbacks will host improv troupes from near and far to explore exciting new formats including horror and musical improv. 

This month's SuperCollider! will feature Two For the Road, Splorange, and My Other Buddy Devin. 9 pm. $10; $8 for students, seniors, and teachers. silverbacksimprov.com.
