The George Rodrigue Foundation of the Arts 2023 Visual Arts and Songwriting Contest

The George Rodrique Foundation for the Arts and the Trombone Shorty Foundation are once again inviting high school students to enter visual art and original songs in a contest, this year with the theme "Off the Beaten Path: Weird, Wild and Abstract". Open to high school juniors and seniors all across the state, thirteen students will be chosen to share the twenty-five thousand dollars in scholarship money as well as an opportunity for their artwork to tour on exhibition across Louisiana in 2023, while the first-place songwriting winner will have the opportunity to perform at the Trombone Shorty Foundation’s annual fundraiser, Shorty Fest, next May. Deadline for entry submission is Friday January 20, 2023.
